Shelly came Thursday thru Sunday last week and I think enjoyed her trip. We grabbed lunch at Cheesecake Factory after picking her up in Omaha. Matt came over that night and we came homemade fettuccine alfredo (yum!).
The next couple of days we toured Lincoln. We visited the Capitol and my office, the Catholic Social Services Food Pantry (where dad volunteers) and Gianna's Java and Gelato*, the Sunken Gardens (where the pic to the right was taken), Antelope Valley Trail and the UNL Newman Center. Saturday night we made a pit stop at Dino's to say hi to Matt - he's working there full time again, while still part time at The Grand Theater - before heading to Hurts Donuts, the new 24 hour donut place downtown.
It was really good to see her and we're hoping to make a trip out to Carson City to visit her and other family in the next couple of months. Side benefit: we'd get to go back to Tahoe. :)

* Gianna's is a coffee shop that Catholic Social Services opened next to the food pantry. All net proceeds go to funding CSS programs, including St. Gianna's Home For Women. Their tagline is "Good Food. Good Coffee. Good Cause."
