Projects

No, I didn't pick the color solely because of the name. :)

I got a couple projects done this weekend...I painted a dresser, a built a cabinet (love how user friendly Threshold products are!) and made a cake. Well, I didn't make the cake...I made the email that made the cake. :)

The dresser started out wooden and heavy. After three coats of paint, it became grey and still heavy. This is why it's still sitting in the living room, because I can't get it back upstairs on my own!

I helped a friend put on a Link/video game themed baby shower on Saturday...and I was in charge of the cake. A family friend's daughter is an amazing cake maker and she created this masterpiece.

And last but not least, I put together a medium sized cabinet. I have it's little brother in red, sitting with my black and white houndstooth chair. This one now resides in my mom's office.

Fingers crossed that my next project is putting together an IKEA couch for the basement! :)

Song of the day: "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri just came up on my Pandora Station. I saw her premiere it on "So You Think You Can Dance?" years ago. It's still one of my favorites of hers.
