Revelations on alcohol

I don't drink that much. Let me rephrase that. When I drink, I generally limit my consumption to a single beer or the occasional mixed drink. It's usually just there to accompany my dinner because I didn't feel like water or an Izze.

With as tough as this session has been, my alcohol intake has increase a bit. And with it has come a couple revelations, which I'm putting in writing in the hopes that I remember it down the road:

1.) Drinking too much alone is dumb.
2.) When I'm in a crappy mood, drinking doesn't help. When I'm in an ok mood, a little hooch makes me smiley. A little more, downright giggly. Teehee.
3.) Hard liquor definitely isn't the way to go. I think it's the higher alcohol content...takes me from mellow to sad in about 5 seconds flat.
4.) A half a bottle of wine on a not full stomach is a much better choice. "The point of hilarity" is much more easily accomplished.
5.) I need to buy more wine. :)
6.) For now I'm sticking with Peppermint Tea.

On that very Catholic note (booze!), have a blessed Easter and good weekend!
