I love the idea of a daybed doubling as a couch that you can use for entertaining. This allows for a
multi-functional room when you are stuck working with a small amount of space. The first floor has a lot of detailing...the coffee table with candles, flowers and possibly a bowl of fruit, the clock & lamp up on wall ledge, the wrought iron wall art, the canvas covered frame behind the couch with various things pinned to it...decorated without feeling cluttered. The library/office in the second floor loft area is also genius...nice and private. Just don't tip your chair back too far!
I fell in love with this the moment I saw it...with your bedroom tucked back in an alcove, in this small space you would basically be living in a library! Have guests coming over? Pull the drapes together and cover your sleeping area, leaving you plenty of room to entertain. The painted brick and metal posts also add to the fantastic shabby-chic, eclectic feel of the room.

A more manly loft with an "urban jungle" feel, this space seems like it might be owned by a fairly artsy type. I love the stone walls and brick trimmed doorways, and that the lamp by the stairs and light on the wall look like they could have been absconded from the set of the latest play in which the occupant participated. The furniture is a bit minimalist, but it leaves the room nice and open, perfect for company.
Enjoy and happy decorating!

Love the sofa in the 3rd picture! Did you notice? The back is adjustable! I like the big square table with wheels! ha! Clever! And the window! LOVE IT! And yep, I am sure you are correct that this is the residence of someone in theater or film-making...Thanks for the pictures of such fun to see rooms!
