Random Fun Facts: Dates

Dates are important to me.

By "dates," I mean anniversaries, birthdays, reminders of fun events, etc...not the fruit or the romantic kind...though I guess those would count too, as far as the date of the date. :)

Important days tend to stick out in my mind....I went to prom and met my best friend on May 1st, 2004; my friends' birthdays - for example, August 15th and April 7th are biggies, since I know 3 and 7 people (respectively) who were born on those days, the glaring exception would be Jessica C. for some reason, since I always think it's the 24th or the 26th of March, but it's the 25th...right, Jess?! In my defense, I do remember that Tim proposed to you on December 8th, 2010 and that you two got married June 25th, 2011...which should count for something! :)

Historically speaking, today is kind of an important-ish one for me. As of today I have owned my car for exactly 2 years and have lived in Nebraska for 13 years...not that I'm counting. :)  Specifically for today, I know two people who are having surgeries and I'm sure they would appreciate prayers that everything goes well and that there are no complications.

Historically:
December 17th, 2000 - Moved to Nebraska
December 17th, 2011 - Leased my Mitsubishi Lancer

Literally today - December 17, 2013
- Cheryl Winter's father, Richard Maroni (? on spelling,) is having knee replacement surgery
- Dustin Reichart (friend from Topeka) is having surgery to remove advanced melanoma
- It's Pope Francis' 77th birthday!
- Josh Groban's new single "Your Hideaway" was released today

I know there was something else, because it was crazy all that was going on today...but I can't remember what it was...

Oh well...

Enjoy and happy Tuesday!

  2. When I first read this, I thought you were talking about going on dates. Reminded me of going to see Stardust with you and your other friends back in the day. :)

  3. Haha...it's kind of a dumb movie, but I enjoyed it. :) I do need to make it down to TX again one of these days...Jessica (Jacobs) Caruthers lives in Houston and I haven't been down to visit since her wedding in 2011.
