Woo hoo! 2020 is FINALLY OVER! I spent NYE with my "pandemic pod," playing Codeword, discussing attachment styles and which girl scout cookies are the worst (to be clear, it's NOT Thin Mints).
And gaaaaaah...session has begun again! Welcome to the 107th Nebraska Legislature, First Session. Things went pretty smoothly, as today was mostly just pomp and circumstance. Thankfully my boss was re-elected as the chair of the Retirement Committee, which means we don't have to move (yay)! However, we did get word that we'll be moving in July due to the shift in Capitol renovation (boo hiss).
On the scarier side, the breach of the US Capitol by protestors freaked me the eff out. Really, it was a siege by rioters. So distressing and completely unacceptable. Too stressed out to write more.
Final thought - go watch Wonder Woman 1984. I liked Wonder Woman (2017) better, but WW84 was enjoyable and entertaining. I love Gal Gadot and want to be her when I grow up. 😎

It's been quite a year (and felt like three).Time to wear something pretty, celebrate the end of 2020 and pray next year is better. I feel like that's a pretty low bar to set and not asking too much, right? |
