Mon., March 30th - working from home
- Kind of can't believe this is week three of working from home. The time has gone slowly and quickly at the same time. I think I'm still somewhat in the state of shock at this point.
- Checked email (mine and the boss's) and posted last Friday's column on the legislative blog. We send the articles out on Fridays, which is usually when I post them on the blog as well...but I forgot. (oops)
- Went for a long walk and played Pokemon Go. Ran into Team Rocket (the bad guys? I'm still new at this) in a park near my neighborhood and got my butt kicked. This was partly because I was playing with my "buddy," who doesn't have a lot of health. But it made her happy (she got a little bonus heart icon), which is what I was shooting for, so it's all good.
- Worked on the Weekend Edition blog post, wrapping up my review of The Pale horse. Now I'm blogging about blogging...this is getting sad.
- Watched the Lincoln mayor's Covid-19 update, which included sharing the Governor has extended the social distancing restrictions until April 30th and that we now have 8 (official) Covid-19 cases in Lincoln, one of them an older child.
- Watched Some Good News (#SGN) with John Krasinski. SGN is literally all good news, the idea being to brighten people's days when they're stuck at home. Good job, Ji...John.
- After dinner we played Blokus, a colorful and abstract board game.
- Started season 3 of Westworld. I still need to watch the 1973 movie version. I'm a big Yul Brunner fan and it's one of his movies I haven't seen.

| 30 days has September...April, March and November. (oops) |
- Back in the office today. As you can imagine, it was super quiet.
- Got thru the mail and emails...
- Played Pokemon Go. I'm always amused when the GPS is wrong and it moves me a block or two from where I actually am. One minute, my avatar is in the Capitol, the next it's running over to the State Office Building (affectionately known as the SOB), which is over a block away. Too bad it can't bring Scooter's back with it. 😆 ☕
- Read more of The Pale Horse. I remembered liking the book, and it is a fun read. Makes me all the more annoyed at the lousy Amazon adaptation. (grumble, grumble, grumble)
- Had to leave work a little early. I'm sure I missed sooooo much going on. 😄
- Played a couple rounds of Uno with the folks.
- Watched episode 2 of Westworld. So far this season has been a little confusing, but not as much as season 2.
Wed., April 1st - worked from home
- Slept in a little (yay for no commute!).
- Wore floral tank, black jeans and a new "sarsaparilla" (purple-grey) colored blazer. I'm still shooting for dressing professionally while working at home, plus it's fun wearing something new.
- Got through both emails...messaged with coworkers. Tyler was manning the office, which was a bit more exciting than the day before. The parks in one of the small towns in our district were shut down...and for some reason people thought it was my boss's fault. Both the mayor and sheriff called in about it, the former a bit perturbed. We still don't know why they thought he had something to do with it, since it's not under his purview. So no, not our fault.
- Went for a long walk, playing Pokemon Go along the way. I figured out how to evolve pokemon, so now I have a Flareon, Electrode and Amoonguss.
- Went to a chiropractic appointment, which is my first non-work or grocery store venture in about three weeks.
- Speaking of the grocery store, I made a beer run! I bought a couple other things while I was there, but it was mostly a beer run. 🍺
- Bought a pair of TOMS online. I blame the 35% off sale and free shipping. 😁
- Decided it was a scotch kind of night.
- Watched another episode of Westworld and a few epsiodes of The Office.
- Found out that 3 nurses in my aunt's unit have tested positive for Covid-19. 😬😖 She works in the recovery room at a hospital in Chicago. Any prayers for their recovery and that she doesn't catch it would be greatly appreciated.

Thurs., April 2nd
- I noticed there was less traffic as I drove in to work, which was heartening. There hadn't been a noticeable decrease in the last week or so. #stayhome #staysafe
- I played Pokemon Go...and let my buddy loose in the halls of the Capitol.
- Read more of The Pale Horse.
- Saw Sam, live and in person! I popped in his office to say hi (from at least 6' feet away).
- Office got a bit chilly in the afternoon...down to 64°! I didn't crack out my Doctor Who blanket, but I did contemplate it.
- Played a couple rounds of Uno with the folks.
- Got caught up on Westworld. Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) has a new human buddy, Caleb (Aaron Paul).
Fri., April 3rd - working from home
- Slept in a little, resetting my alarm once I checked my email at 8am.
- I didn't have time to stretch yesterday morning, so I did a little extra today. I can still tell a difference when I miss a day.
- One of the blazers I got from StitchFix came in several colors, so I order another one, which I decided to wear today. I paired it with jeans (casual Friday!), a teal green t-shirt and a silver necklace from Express.
- My computer was having issues, so a friend of mine did some remote work on it, which is so eerie to watch. Windows popping up, the mouse moving, words being typed and I'm not even touching the laptop. So weird!
- Played some Pokemon Go...and got my first human friend (my officemate, lol)!
- Talked mom into ordering Red Lobster's Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp Family Meal for dinner. Love their piña colada sauce.
- After dinner, the rest of my evening will be devoted to Novel in a Day 9 ½, the special apocalypse edition! This is my second time participating in one of these, the first being last fall when I contributed Chapter 13 of Butterfly Dawn (the blue edition). This time they're shooting for it to be more of a novella, limiting each edition to only 12 chapters. And they gave us the theme upfront - Apocalypse - which is fitting. We'll see how it goes! 😎

A friend posted this on Facebook, so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
Unpopular opinion game. Name 10 things that everyone else likes that you don’t. Here are mine:
1. Blueberries (unless they're in a bagel)
2. Kale
3. Football/Baseball (I literally bring a book)
4. Monty Python
5. Pickles
6. Video games
7. The Godfather
8. Yellow (especially pastel yellow)
9. Archer
10. Celery (even with peanut butter, I'm still not thrilled)

How about you? What do you dislike that most people enjoy?

Fan Girl Bonus: Blake Crouch posted on Facebook:
I might have to buy myself a personalized and signed set of the Wayward Pines Series as an end of session present to myself (instead of a print of Space Frenchie)...though God only knows when that will be. 😳
