Mini review: Justice League

I went with Matt to see Justice League tonight and thought I'd write up a quick mini-review.

I'm happy to report that Justice League was not a garbage fire like Batman vs Superman (can you tell how much I HATED BvS?!). That being said...Superman was a smug robot and Batman an out-of-shape, shittier Tony Stark. Arthur Curry/Aquaman and Victor Stone/Cyborg were fine (I liked Aquaman better than I expected). Diana Prince/Wonder Woman rocked and Barry Allen/The Flash was delightful. I love Wonder Woman, but I think The Flash was my favorite part of that movie. He provided much needed levity. Speaking of funny...there was more humor than in BvS, which mostly felt like an attempt to capture some of Marvel's magic. Some of it landed (ie. everything related to The Flash) and most of the rest felt like they were trying too hard, like "See guy, we can be funny too!"

Overall, if you like the DCU I'd recommend seeing it. Was it a great movie? No. But go in with low expectations (like I did) and there will likely be parts you will enjoy.

Also, stay for the two end scenes. Those are worth the wait.
