I had intended to finish up a post I started working on earlier this week...but since that didn't happen, this is just a quick little "update on life" post.
#1 - After freaking out this morning because the Mumford and Sons concert in Omaha sold out within 15 minutes of general admission beginning, I was able to get some seats this evening when they opened up more sections. While not as close as I was hoping for, at least I wasn't stuck paying twice the face value from Stubhub...which sadly I was seriously considering. I got up early enough to be awake and online at 8am to buy tickets this morning...that's how much I wanted good seats!
#2 - Being up at 8am should sound like a bigger deal once I mention that I'm currently out of state on a trip with my folks...ie. I wouldn't otherwise have been up that early! Which leads into #3...
#3 - My dad's birthday is next month, so we're beginning the celebrations a little early by taking a birthday trip to visit family and old friends in Carson City, Nevada and Sacramento, California. Our hotel (for the first leg of the trip) is in Lake Tahoe, hence the photo above!
#4 - Tomorrow we're getting together with my sister (Shelly), her daughters (Amanda and Liz) and granddaughters (Andrea, Elenya and Annabella) and my brother (Rennie) and his two kids (Tristan and Bridget) to celebrate Dad's birthday. I haven't seen my brother since I was 12 years old and have never met his kids...and I just met my sister's granddaughters (they're 10, 8 and 2) for the first time tonight. They were adorable and amazing. I was so glad to finally meet and spend time with them.
#5 - Since we're heading home on Tuesday, I will not be posting anything that day. I figure things will be hectic and in all honesty, I would probably just forget to do it...so I'm preemptively skipping it. :)
