Shelob Jr.

I hate spiders. 

Hate them. 

So. Much.

And the biggest spider I've ever seen decided to be the greeter in my office doorway this morning. 

As I was walking out the door I saw something the same color of the carpet (a medium-light brown) move next to my boot and I awkwardly hopped out the door. When I looked back, I thought it was one of those 4" zillion legged millipede things...but when I took a tentative half step toward it, I saw it was a big, hairy eight-legged spawn of Satan. 

Thankfully Shelob Jr. scurried across the hall when I inelegantly leapt over it (intending to warn my officemates)...and was subsequently squished by a staffer down the hall. Bleeeh...

Hate. Spiders. 

Tomorrow I'm heading to Chicago to visit family, so here's wishing you (and me!) a happy and spider-free weekend!
