I like stuff. Stuff is fun. Clothes and shoes. Books and DVDs. Blankets and all the pillows.
But as I walk through houses and duplexes that could possibly be my new home, I find the idea of "stuff" a bit daunting. Where am I going to put everything? Will it all fit? I have so much crap! And I mean crap in the best sense of the word, since I'm snob enough to not own crappy crap. :)
I decided that to avoid an additional reason to panic when the actual packing and moving takes place, I need to start thinning the herd (of stuff). I've slowly been going through things in close proximity to my everyday life...scarves, shoes and clothes...and choosing some to give away and others I will try to sell. I've had on and off success in that department. After a really long dry spell of nothing selling on Facebook (there are groups set up specifically to sell used things locally on FB, in case you were unaware), I sold two pairs of shoes yesterday. A small victory, but at least it's something.
And I instituted a new shoe rule for myself...for every one pair I am unable to resist buying, I have to sell/give away two pairs. Once I have some money to spend on shoes and can come up with two pairs to relinquish, these puppies are so mine. :)
Speaking of houses...I saw a couple this last Saturday that I liked. Of course they were all out of my price range, but close-ish. My (second) plan B townhouse is still for sale, so that's good. And I ran across one last night that I emailed to the realtor I'm working with that just might be the ticket. But we'll see...my current streak of "this could be the one" has been for it to sell within 24-48 hours of my discovering it.
That's about it for now. Good luck surviving the week and I'll be back on Friday!

I've decided to institute a "Song of the Day"...something that just fits the day or popped up on my Pandora Station that I particularly like. Today it's a bit of both...so I give you "Apologize" by OneRepublic.
