Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a holy and happy Christmas.

Things went pretty well in the Quintero household. We made a really nice dinner (steak and crab legs) on Christmas Eve, went to midnight Mass, put up and decorated the Christmas tree (at 3am)...opened presents mid-afternoon on Christmas and then made a nice dinner (turkey, candied yams, mashed potatoes, crescent rolls and stuffing) while being home-away-from-home to one of Matt's friends who couldn't be with family on Christmas.

This evening was also nice...I almost got to go ice skating, but the line was too long, the weather was getting a little gross and the ice rink was a bit rough (looked more like snow than ice), so we decided to reschedule, date and time TBD. But we did get to eat at Leadbelly's, which was really good, and then hung out at a friend's house afterwards.

While I'm not looking forward to going back to work on Monday, I am really glad to have two more days off before going back. A "five day weekend" is pretty darn nice. :)

Merry Christmas and have a good rest of your weekend!

*Prayer Request * Dad has been sick for about two weeks now...we thought it was the cold crud going around...but when mom got him to the doctor, it turned out to be walking pneumonia. He's slowly getting better, but is going a little stir crazy stuck indoors...so any and all prayers for his swift and complete recovery would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    1. Thanks! He's doing a bit better...slowly on the mend. The worst part for him is being cooped up in the house for so long. And the stupid cough that won't die.
