Denver trip

Look what I found in Aurora, CO! :)

One of my goals for the trip to Denver was to photograph the Quintero St. sign...and while it's not the same one I originally found on Google Maps (ie. not in a trailer park), I still think it's pretty fun to find something like this.

One of the other cool things we got to do on this trip was visit the Denver Botanical Garden. I'd never been there and it was just beautiful. They have a temporary Chihuly glass exhibit scattered throughout the garden...sadly all the tickets for the night time event were already sold out, but it was still amazing to see in the day time. We lucked out too and just happened to be in town for their "free day," which was fortuitous. :)  I included a few pictures below.

We also got to eat a a couple great places...Original Pancake House, Brio, Osteria Marco and of course, Maggiano's. We'd never beem to Osteria Marco's before and am so glad we tried it. It was off a beautiful, string light lit street and the food was very good. I would recommend trying it if you've never been there.

We really lucked on on the weather...Saturday and Sunday were gorgeous. And then the temp dropped about 20-30 degrees and it started snowing on Monday. Thankfully we had gotten in all our touristy, sightseeing in by then and just had to travel home on the coattails of the arctic storm. Brrrr!

That will probably be my last trip of 2014. I'm glad it was to Denver. :)
