Black Friday...the Honest Abe way.

With all the insanity that is Black Friday, I take my hat off to Honest Abe's, a locally owned purveyor of burgers and freedom fries. While normally only open for lunch and dinner, they are planning to capitalize on the hordes of idiots out wandering around (not Iowans...just Black Friday shoppers) in the wee hours of the morning.

That's right...for Friday (11/28) and Saturday (11/29) only, Honest Abe's will open its doors from 7am-10:30am to brave the crazy morning crowd. They've been doing a count down on Facebook of the foods they are planning to serve, which are pictured below.

#1 = THE NEVERENDING STORY
nutella | maple peanut butter sauce |
chocolate chips | childhood memories |
whipped cream

#2 = UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BISCUIT
maple glazed ham | fried egg | patriotism | American cheese

#3 = ITS ALWAYS SUNNY ON 70th STREET
strawberry compote |
balsamic peanut butter sauce | whipped cream

#4 = BREAKFAST FOR UNICORNShouse waffle | boneless fried chicken | sausage gravy
| locally sourced happiness | REAL maple syrup

#5 = JOHN HANCOCK BISCUIT
boneless fried chicken | house gravy
| thick cut braised bacon | fried egg

If you live in Lincoln and are seeing this before 10:30am, be sure to stop by and check it out! If I manage to get out of bed in time, I plan to be there! :)

Enjoy and happy Black Friday!
