Found: Express Skinny Jeans!

I know it doesn't seem like something worth getting excited about, but I was thrilled last night when I ran across my missing Express skinny jeans. In the spring I had moved them out of my closet, along with my other skinny jeans and leggings, to make room for my spring & summer friendly clothes (I don't wear skinny jeans without boots, which limits their wear to fall & winter)...and decided to put them somewhere safe and out of the way, to be retrieved at a later date. Funny thing is, six months later I could not remember where I'd put them! I looked everywhere...my closet, the guestroom closet, even the closet in Matt's old room...but turned up nada. I was pretty bummed...

I ended up going out and buying some new skinny jeans at Target (Merona Skinny Denim Jeans, Modern Fit for $24.99), which was significantly cheaper than just replacing the missing ones with another pair from Express. I lucked out before, hitting a good sale with a great coupon, because otherwise I couldn't have afford them. I love Express, but they can be a little pricey...and the missing pair of Stella Skinny Leg Jeans retail at $79.90 (I probably got them for about $30 a year or two ago). So yeah, just a wee bit of a price difference! Yes, there is also a bit of a quality difference as well, but not a great enough disparity such that it would cause me to pay more than twice as much to buy a pair at Express over Target!

Anywho...last night I was moving my fall/winter clothes back into my closet (welcome back sweaters, long sleeve shirt, vests, etc!) and found the missing legwear in a neat little stack, sitting on a shelf which had been covered by my sweater sleeves! I did a short happy dance, posted about it on Facebook and then happily moved them back into my closet! :)

Due to the excitement of finding my missing pants, I decided to build an outfit around them today, which turned out to be pretty darn cute, if I say so myself. :)  I bought a new shirt at Anthropologie this weekend - the Creature Feature Top in the turquoise motif with little foxes on it - and am wearing it with a grey blazer from Hot Mama and one of my long Fossil key necklaces. Ooh, and some new boots I just got from Maurices...I hit a BOGO sale (buy one, get one half off with free 2 day shipping!) and so am wearing one of the new pairs to complete my ensemble. Yay boots! :)
