And of course my favorite stores all come out with fall collections that make me wish I had unlimited funds and bigger closets! Admittedly I like the fall color palette best because I think the colors are prettier and...well, they look better on me! :)
I just got an email from White House|Black Market with their new fall arrivals. The color they're highlighting this season is called "Lotus or Jade," which is a medium teal. Not my idea of a fall color, but it's a nice shade nonetheless. I liked a couple selections from their "color of the season," like the Instantly Slimming 3/4th Sleeve Dress (big surprise, right?)...but my three favorites aren't part of the teal-family selections.

I absolutely fall in love with the Floral Boatneck Sweater. The delicate flowers cascading down the front, along the arms and across the right shoulder...the shades of pink and the teal leaves (hey, there's the teal!) on the soft grey background. With the boatneck and contoured fit, this sweater is lovely, feminine and may need to find it's way into my closet as soon as possible!!

The Silk Floral Ruffle Cami would make a fantastic addition to almost every wardrobe because of its versatility. You could pair it with a black blazer or a teal, pink, purple, etc. solid colored sweater and it would look amazing. Clearly it goes well with black pants and would look equally stunning with jeans to help dress up a casual outfit. The ruffle in the front also adds to the femininity of the already girlish pattern. I would be surprised if I didn't end up purchasing this as soon as it goes on sale!
I can't even tell you how quickly I posted the Leather Military Jacket to my Poachit account! With a princess-seam fit to provide a flattering appearance, the ruffling detail on the collar and satin-bound lining make it both luxurious and refined.

I fell in love with the Botanical Swing Dress and the Tavi Moto Jacket the moment I saw them together. The burnt orange/pumpkin jacket looks like something I'd want to wrap myself up in and never take it off! Worn with the brown floral dress, it looks like the perfect outfit for a cool fall day!

I'm not one who generally likes things in green, but I'm a huge fan of the Ravenna Cardigan in said color. I like it in grey too, but think it looks very casual. The green just looks very rich and warm to me, and like it would be very easy to dress up or down depending on what pants (jeans, black pants or leggings if it's long enough) or jewelry you wear.

And last but not least, it should come as no surprise to anyone that I'm a fan of the Alta Mary Jane Booties. They're my burnt orange "favorite color of fall"! With a 3" heel, they would go nicely with either pants or a skirt. These are definitely on my watch list for when they go on sale! :)
Enjoy and happy "almost" Fall!
~ Katie
