Peplum tops

I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with peplum tops. I tend to love them...on mannequins and other people...but I hate them on myself. Generally it's because they are more flattering on women with higher/shorter waists and since I lean towards being long waisted, they land too high on my waist and are pretty unflattering. Once in a blue moon I run across one that runs a little long, like this lace-trimmed one from Target. Sadly the fabric was really thin, so I didn't buy it...but it fit into the general, workable concept of a longer waisted peplum top.

Express has some really cute peplum tops that I like, even though I can't wear them.
