Hello Sweetie

ThinkGeek is one of my favorite websites because they have practically everything - clothes, electronics, fun office gadgets...even food items! Another great thing about them is that they carry a lot of fun, trendy Doctor Who paraphernalia.

I am fortunate in having family & friends who indulge my love of all things Doctor Who and so I have received several fun things as gifts. I included links to a couple of them and to some personal purchases:

Doctor Who TARDIS Talking Cookie Jar

The Angels Have the Phone Box Babydoll

Doctor Who License Plate Frame

I [Heart Heart] Doctor Who Babydoll

Doctor Who Exploding TARDIS Throw Blanket

Recently I got an email from ThinkGeek highlighting some of their new items, my favorite of which was a River Song themed shirt. For those who aren't Doctor Who aficionados, Doctor Who is a time traveling Time Lord who is occasionally hard to contact. River Song was creative in her attempts and wrote "Hello Sweetie" in an ancient language (Gallifreyan, the lost language of the time lords) on several occasions, including across the side of a mountain, knowing that he would be intrigued and attempt to find her (since it was obviously important for her to get a hold of him, due to the lengths she went to contact him).

This shirt - the Hello Sweetie Glow-in-the-dark Ladies' Tee - is a homage to that event and every other time River says "Hello Sweetie" when she runs into the Doctor. It becomes a bit of a "thing" with them. :)

Another one of my favorites (which I admit to posting on Matt's Facebook wall as a birthday hint, haha) is the 10th Doctor Galaxy Silhouette Babydoll tee, a tribute to the TARDIS and David Tennant's 10th Doctor. I love that the tagline on ThinkGeek's page is *swoon* and that they admit to having a bit of a man-crush on David Tennant. :)  I am a fan of the three last Doctors (9th, 10th and 11th), but David Tennant's portrayal as the 10th Doctor is my favorite of the three.

 Allons-y!  Yes...I'm a nerd. :)
